Ghost of Tsushima for the atmosphere, Stardew Valley when I need to decompress, Valorant when I'm feeling competitive, Minecraft at night with no real goal in mind.
I like games that build a mood, the kind you keep thinking about after you stop playing.
Cybersecurity
Offensive security is what I want to work towards. What draws me to it is that you can't fake understanding. You either know how a system works or you don't, and that shows pretty fast.
I spend time on virtual machines, read a lot of documentation, and try to look at things from the angle of someone searching for what's broken.
Astrophysics
Black holes, exoplanets, how large things actually are. The fact that everything we know fits inside something incomprehensibly vast is both unsettling and oddly calming.
Good reading for when I can't sleep.
Music
Pierce the Veil, Deftones, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Ado. My playlists don't make a lot of sense together but they work for me.
I listen to music almost the whole time I'm working. Background noise without atmosphere just doesn't cut it.
Art and dark fantasy
I'm drawn to things that mix dark and beautiful. Digital art, detailed fantasy worlds, futurism that doesn't look clean and sterile.
It influences how I think about design, this site included.
