Where I'm headed
Où je vais
I want to work in offensive security. What draws me to it is that you actually have to understand a system to find what's wrong with it — surface-level knowledge doesn't get you far. My path goes through networks and sysadmin first, which I see as the foundation you need before anything else makes sense.
Je veux travailler dans la sécurité offensive. Ce qui m'y attire, c'est qu'il faut vraiment comprendre un système pour trouver ce qui ne va pas — les connaissances de surface ne servent pas à grand-chose. Mon parcours passe d'abord par les réseaux et l'administration système, que je considère comme la base sans laquelle le reste n'a pas de sens.

A technical environment where asking questions is normal and learning is part of the job. I pick things up much faster on real problems than from coursework alone — I need to understand the why, not just the steps.
Un environnement technique où poser des questions est normal et où apprendre fait partie du boulot. J'assimile beaucoup plus vite sur de vrais problèmes qu'en cours — j'ai besoin de comprendre le pourquoi, pas seulement les étapes.
